Gara-gara kemaren aku baca salah satu comment tentang byethost.com (tempat blog ini diupload) yg isinya :
"This free hosting server is very bad with a lot of downtime. Honestly, it has very slow, poor performance and is unreliable. Their official forum has been unavailable for at least 4 months, and customer support now has a confusing ticket system. That is not good. In the first 2-3 months everything was good in general, with only some minor problems, but now the problems are getting bigger and bigger. For the past 3 months my website had only 38% uptime (which they claim is due to DDoS attacks)."

Aku cari2 hosting web gratisan, trus ketemu www.my-php.net, kemudian register, trus login, eh... ternyata sama aja dengan www.byethost.com.
Hari ini aku cari lagi hosting web gratisan, trus ktemu www.phpnet.us, kemudian register, trus login, eh... ternyata sama aja dengan www.my-php.net
ketiga hostingan tersebut : - menggunakan server ftp yg sama yaitu byetcluster.com (209.190.85.28) - Design Cpanel yang sama persis - SubDomain yang sama (isgreat.org, totalh.com, 22web.net, etc).
my-php.net = byethost.com = phpnet.us
byethost memiliki beberapa server dgn nama byethost+angka.com Klik disini untuk melihat Server Status dari byethost.
Tapi masih banyak Comment mengenai byethost.com :
Basically, Byethost is amazing. It has all the basic features an ordinary user would need with some useful extras. The server is quite fast. My favorite feature is the automatic scripts installer, which installs the files automatically (for example, a phpBB forum). However, I do experience downtimes about 2 times a week. Sometimes the My SQL database does not work, and sometimes it just does not load the page.
This site does not offer much of what they say. They claim that they will provide 20 to 30 gigabytes bandwidth (depending on which freehosting plan you choose), but they only provide 3 gb of bandwidth. They do not support much file extensions such as .htaccess and .wma audio files. They do not accept all sites, and they force ads on the sites without warning. There system is down on many days -- their server uptime is only 46.54% since February 2006. They do not provide as much free web space as they said it to be. They have deleted my website without warning, and they do not provide a fast customer support. I have mailed them for a long time, but still I do not get their reply. THEY ARE THE WORST HOSTERS EVER.
This web site is simply the best free hosting service. They give you a lot of bandwidth, a lot of diskspace, fast server, 3 SQL databases, a pop3 server, a lot of pre-installed scripts (like Wordpress or PHPbb forum), a very low downtime, and last but not the least, a great support system: just ask and you will have your problem solved in few hours. I had never found a support system so efficient -- no pre-generated-answers, and no waiting. It is like to chat with a kind technician there to help you, and without charging you anything. I never tried the paid hosting service, but I am sure that you will find everything you need. As soon as I can, I will start enjoying my new free spaces on byethost!
I am user from Croatia who have exactly same problems like user who wrote review on 2-10. My website has been offline more than 40% time. I also tried some different ISPs, but the result was always the same. This hosting service is very bad Performance is slow and unreliable, although they are trying to improve it by adding more dedicated servers with better DDOS protection. However lately my website has gone offline more than 3 times a week.
Honestly, byethost is a wonderful freehosting service provider, providing fully the features which we really need, and with nice support services. I appreciate their hosting server network and reliable service. Moreover, I appreciate their kindly assistance to me to reset my hosting setting after their server moved. But I would like to point out one thing, and it is why I did not give the best rating (10 points). I am wondering why they do not send out any email notification to me before the server moved, and I have not received any notification about how to reset my hosting settings after the servers moved [the emails were sent -- I got one; maybe it went to your junk mail]. But overall, byethost is the best free web space service I have met. It is the best one I would like to recommend to my friends.
kalo menurutku, saat ini byethost memang masih ada kekurangannya (namanya juga gratisan). kadang2 server ini down (cuma sebentar N jarang banget), kadang2 loadingnya lambat (jarang banget), tapi jika dibandingkan hostingan gratis lainnya aku lebih memilih byethost karena sangat bagus untuk web pribadi or community yang menggunakan php dan database.

I attempted to get a paid account with them about 29 hours ago. I contacted their support dept twice in the last 10 hours. Seems nobody is home to set up the account or even answer my ticket. I wish they would solve my problem in a few hours. Maybe they meant to write days. Scary that they now have the ability to charge my account. Sure sounded good. maybe they all went on vacation this week.

actually the byehost Ip is banned by tmnet, thats y u are not able to access to the bytehost hosted sites. i own 1 of the hosting service in bytehost, i have ping the byethost IP using streamyx, but no ping reply. the ni try using jaring, i can ping and access to the byethost site without problem.
then with other test, i use an oversea proxy server. i go to my website tru the proxy server, amazingly, it can be access. so i called tmnet, at the begining they say maybe the server down, but after i tell them i can access via oversea proxy server, then only they open the file. almost 1 whole month, only tmnet willing to do work and say the IP is banned for unknown reason(they say might be banned coz of got ppl use byethost for abusive usage). then i apply for the IP unban. after a few days, the have unban. and now, as u can see, you are able to access the site. if byethost is not a good server, i wouldn't spend my money and run a hosting service using their service. indeed byethost is a very good server. anyway, if any of u want a free hosting, just come to my website http://kwebserv.info ...

Byet is the worst hosting. Server is always down. My website has a few months is always offline-online. I had to contact byet but the answer is very annoying. I had to upgrade to a premium. whooooh... f**k byet!!!!!!
